“The Kaiju Preservation Society” wins Japan’s Seiun Award

Award-winning science fiction author, John Scalzi, has captured one more. It was announced today that his recent book, “The Kaiju Preservation Society” has won Japan’s prestigious Seiun Award.

On his website, Scalzi gives special thanks to the book’s translator, Masayuki Uchida. He said, “This must be considered as much Masayuki Uchida’s award as mine.”

This is the third time that Scalzi has won the Seiun Award. He also won for The Android’s Dream and Redshirts.
