Jonathan Hunt is currently the Coordinator of Library Media Services at the San Diego County Office of Education where he supports the forty-two local school districts. He previously worked with grades 4-8 as a classroom teacher and grades K-12 as a teacher librarian. In addition, he coordinates the Teacher Librarian Program at San Jose State University.

Jonathan is widely recognized as an expert in children’s and young adult literature. He frequently writes for Horn Book Magazine and School Library Journal, presented seminars for the Bureau of Education & Research for over a decade, and often serves on award committees such as the Newbery Medal, the Caldecott Medal, the Printz Award, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and the Boston Globe-Horn Book Awards.
