Molly Dettmann is a Teacher Librarian at Norman North High School in Norman, OK. She was named her school’s teacher of the year and a district finalist for teacher of the year in 2021-2022 and the Oklahoma School Librarian of the Year in 2023. She was also the 2023 recipient of the AASL Frances Henne Award.

When Molly won the Frances Henne Award in 2023, the AASL President at the time, Kathy Lester, said: “To see a future leader like Molly, early in her career as a school librarian, be highly motivated to improve and grow her professional skills through her school library communities is commendable. Now more than ever being part of this community provides both comfort and strength and we are excited to see future leaders.”
