ALA Offers Student Scholarships

If you are currently earning a master’s degree in:

  • Library Science; or
  • School Library Media,

then the American Library Association might have a scholarship available for you. Students can apply for scholarships from $2,500 to $8,000 per year.

The types of scholarships include:

  • children’s librarianship
  • public librarianship
  • youth librarianship
  • federal librarianship
  • new media
  • library automation
  • minorities / individuals with disabilities
  • People currently working in libraries who wish to earn a master’s degree.

The deadline is March 1, 2024. You must be enrolled in an ALA-accredited program.
